A big thanks to our amazing supporters, local businesses and community groups

CHFT Charity received thousands of pounds worth of gifts and donations to help bring amazing moments to people who were staying in hospital over Christmas 2024.

Hundreds of presents ranging from children's toys to toiletry products for older patients were dropped off at Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary throughout December.

Businesses, community groups and individuals came together by raising money and collecting gifts to lift the spirits of our patients who were unable to spend Christmas at home.

Among the contributions, we received over 800 gifts from Dunelm Mills in Huddersfield through their 'Delivering Joy Appeal'.

Additionally, the First Team Players from Huddersfield Town Football Club visited both our hospitals, delivering gifts to our Children's Services, including NICU and A&E this year, and bringing smiles to everyone.

CHFT Charity would like to say a heartfelt thanks to all the businesses, community groups, and individuals who supported our patients throughout the festive period, including:

  • Halifax Bid
  • Huddersfield Giants
  • Sovereign Health Care
  • Prestige Flowers
  • GK&N Limited
  • Northowram Pumas
  • Hartmann Group
  • Rosie's Boutique
  • Towndoor Limited
  • RSA Customer Relations Team
  • Halifax Town Football Club

CHFT Charity would also like to say a huge thanks to everyone who donated to our Give a Gift Appeal. These funds enabled us to provide a gift to everyone waking up in hospital on Christmas Day. These gifts included festive socks, a biscuit tin and Wash & Go gift sets.

Emma Kovaleski, Head of CHFT Charity and Volunteer Services, said: "Thanks to the incredible support from our communities, patients at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust experienced a touch of festive joy and brightness by receiving a gift on Christmas morning.

"This initiative not only brings smiles to those in hospital but also fosters a strong sense of community and togetherness. We are looking forward to working tirelessly throughout 2025, supporting various projects that enhance patient experience and care, ensuring that compassion and positivity remain at the heart of everything we do."
