A HUGE thank you to the amazing team at Friendly House (part of Restorative social Care Services) for donating 100 Easter Eggs for our youngest patients admitted into hospital over the Easter weekend.
Becky Pickett, Senior Support Worker said “The young people supported by Restorative Social Care Services are from Huddersfield and Calderdale and some of them regularly attend the hospitals and have done so throughout their lives, and are able to sympathise with the children who the collection is for, and were more than happy to support the cause as it is one close to home.
The staff and young people believed that being able to give a child who may be in a difficult situation an Easter egg would cheer them up and increase their mood at a difficult time.
Emma Kovaleski, Charity Manager said “I am so inspired by the children and young people at Friendly House, who have shown such levels of kindness, compassion and sense of community. I want to take this opportunity to say a really big thank you to everyone who has supported our youngest patients this Easter, you have made a really big difference”.
