Thanks to your kind donations, we have been able to support our families who are going through bereavement. CHFT Charity have been able to supply a stock of helpful books and guides for Liz Martel, Key Worker in Child Death, to access and give out to families in need.
These books will make such a massive difference to the children and families that Liz meets and will be able to support the role. These books are able to provide a better patient experience to those going through tough situations.
Liz has only been in this role for 5 months, but quickly realised early on that for many families, it is vital to have the appropriate books and information soon after a child has died. For many parents, sourcing these for themselves just after the death is extremely hard. Which is why Liz got in touch with CHFT Charity to access the charitable funds.
Liz explained to us that every situation is so different, but each book will certainly give families a lot of help at a devastating time in their lives.
