Our time as one of the Mayor's Charities of the Year 2023/24 for Kirklees came to an end last month.
We are delighted to announce that after all our fundraising efforts, a variety of events and activities and your kind donations, we managed to raise an amazing amount of £18,560.25 which will be split between CHFT Charity and RAFA Huddersfield Branch.
Cllr Cahal Burke said: “Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Charity and the Huddersfield Branch of the Royal Air Force Association are very close to me, and I am glad that I was able to support them during my term in office.
“Both ae rich in values of providing unwavering help for our communities and to people who are in difficulty that need a guiding hand or help to support them. I enjoyed raising the profile of both these charities and attending their events over the past 12 months.”
We would like to thank Cllr Cahal Burke for all his support, guidance, and awareness throughout his time as Mayor. We are looking forward to working alongside Cahal in the future.
