One Good Thing Roundup

We make a really big difference when we unite and come together - One good Thing was based on the simple idea that everyone can do something good, no matter how big or small. Many people placed their pledge to do something good for Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Charity this year, whether that be signing up to an event of ours, commiting to doing something benefical for the charity or giving us more support on social media. The charity team have loved hearing about people's pledges and excited to see these being done throughout the year. There is still time to place your pledge!

In January, we asked our staff at CHFT to nominate another colleague for something they had gone above and beyond for. These nominated staff would receive a Charity Good Deed Pack, this was a huge success, and we are delighted to roll it throughout the year - encouraging staff to nominate once a month. We want to recognise people's success and hard work; the charity team have loved hearing all the lovely stories and good deeds our colleagues have been doing. Keep up the hard work and thank you!

One member of staff that was nominated was a lady called Julie Mellor. Julie got chosen to receive a pack by Jeena Ackroyd for helping 2 young boys to understand that their dad was sadly passing away. Julie helped a lot with talking to the boys and putting together memory boxes.

Julie shard some feedback with us regarding her goody bag - "Just a line to say what a lovely surprise awaiting me on my desk this morning - the good deed pack has really brightened up my Friday. This sentiment and words in the catd from Jeena meant the absolute world to me and I am so grateful for all the lovely things in my goody bag."

We couldn't thank Julie and the rest of our staff enough. Know of a member of staff who should be recognised? Get in touch with us today.
