Our first annual Hospital 10k Walk took place on Sunday 19th June 2022 and it was AMAZING!
Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Charity were joined by CHFT colleagues, their families, our supporters, and of course some 4-legged furry friends, they all took part in our wonderful 10k charity walk from Calderdale Royal Hospital to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. All together we had 26 walkers and 5 dogs. The team atmosphere and enthusiasm was outstanding.
We want to say a special thank you and shoutout to Halifax Panthers and their mascot for setting off the walk for us, this made the walk even more exciting and gave people that happiness and motivation to get to the end. The mascots personality shone through and made everyone smile.
CHFT Charity received some brilliant feedback about this event at the end when everyone arrived at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. Many people explained to us how they were already excited for this event to take place next year. Many participants commented on the route, explaining that the route was well thought out and accessible for all, as well as it being a beautiful route to take in some lovely Yorkshire views. There was not one participant who did not finish the route with a huge smile on their face.
Congratulations to everyone for taking part in our first annual Hospital 10k Walk, we can't wait to do it all over again next year.
