2023 is a landmark occasion for the NHS, on Wednesday 5th July, the NHS will make 75 years of service. Treating over a million people a day in England, the NHS touches all our lives, and locally we have the amazing services provided by Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, from within the two hospitals and across our communities.
Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Charity, the official Trust charity are encouraging our communities to join this years Big Hospital Walk on Sunday 9th July, to commemorate the NHS 75th anniversary.
The ‘Big Hospital Walk’ is a 10km walk, stating at the main entrance of Calderdale Royal Infirmary, and finishing at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. The route will take walkers through some of the most beautiful countryside, taking the scenic yet rather hilly route from Salterhebble, through West Vale, Holywell Green, and Lindley.

The charity walk will not only be a wonderful commemorative occasion, but it will help raise funds for our NHS Charity – so we can continue to provide those all-important extras that enhance patient experience and colleague wellbeing.”
