We would like to say a huge thank you to the Lodge of Harmony for donating a great amount of funds to the Macmillan Men's Cancer Support Group.
"The Freemasons in The Lodge of Harmony have an annual Ladies Sunday lunch to thank our wives and partners for putting up with our absences at Lodge meetings throughout the year. This year we had some 91 attendees We also invite at our expense all the widows of former members who attend and meet friends that sometimes they don’t see from one year to the next. At this lunch it is customary to hold a raffle which is generously supported by most attendees and, on discussing the potential recipient of the monies, it was decided to support the Macmillan Men’s cancer support group following the support given to them by the CHFT Charity." - David Blunt, member of the Lodge of Harmony.
A magnificent amount of £355 was raised, we couldn't say thank you enough!
The next Men's Cancer Support Team will be on Thursday 26th March at the Legends Cafe at the John Smiths Stadium. The topic of this meeting will be: Christopher Button, Lead Cancer Nurse, CHFT Trust.
