Tube Feeding Mannequins for staff training

"Fantastic turn out today @CHFTNHS for NG Tube training. Big thank you to @CHFTCharity for our fantastic new training mannequins too."

Great feedback received from Emma Wilson about the Nasogastric tube training mannequins we funded from your donations.

Nasogastric tubes are commonly used for feeding patients, however when misplaced they have serious complications. Theses mannequins are used to help train staff to safely insert nasogastric tubes in patients, how to recognise when misplacements have occured before they are used, and how to reduce the associated risks. This training is offered cross site to all qualified staff on all wards. Our staff have benefited from the training which has filtered down to improve patient experience.

Thanks to your support, we were able to buy 2 training mannequins, one for Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and one for Calderdale Royal Hospital.
